Diablo 2 Resurrected Helpful Tips and Tricks for Beginners

Now is the time for those who haven't played Diablo 2 Resurrected. If you've never played Diablo 2, there are a lot of great tips and tricks to help you get up to speed on the remastered version of one of gaming's most revered titles. You can purchase the items you need from a reliable d2r store.

Focus on your Build

Diablo 2 Resurrected doesn't let you re-skill and re-spec characters as often as Diablo 3. Before Akara's Den of Evil questline reward and Tokens of Absolution, the only way to remake a character was to start over at level one.

Akara gives you three stat and skill resets for Normal, Nightmare, and Hell. Tokens of Absolution are rare and expensive, made from boss essences in Hell difficulty. Choose your character's skills carefully.

While you can mix and match skills, the best builds are focused. Sorceresses should choose either cold, fire, or lightning, not all three. Mixing skill trees can make early-game characters weak against bosses.

Boost Vitality

Diablo Resurrected's attributes are strength, vitality, energy, and dexterity. Attribute points are rare because you only get five per level and some from quests. Vitality is the most important attribute. Most Diablo 2 builds rely on a large life pool, with Sorceresses using Energy Shields.

Be strong and dexterous to equip your best equipment and weapons. Dexterity affects block chance; save points to increase it. Vitality should get all other points.

Increase Resistance

Fire, cold, lightning, and poison resistances keep you alive in Nightmare and Hell. You can gain resistance through equipment and quests with Normal difficulty. In Act 5, save Anya.

Resistances are listed below your stats on the main character screen. If your character has 15 poison resistance, elemental poison attacks will be 15% weaker.

Don't get too comfortable with Normal resistances; they plummet into harder difficulties. Nightmare is -40, and Hell is -100. Endgame protection requires +175 for all resistances.

Prioritize resistance-granting gear and charms.

Run Normal Countess for Runes

Diablo 2 lacks an endgame, but its procedurally generated levels and respawning enemies let you replay bosses for loot. In Act One's Black Marsh, the Countess drops runes that you can use to craft gear for at least Normal difficulty.

Stealth body armor requires Tal and Eth runes. Poison resistance, faster run/walk, cast rate, hit recovery, etc.

Shael and Eth combine shields to create the Rhyme runeword, which boosts block rate, resistances, and magic find.

Sorceresses love the rune Leaf. Tir and Ral runes boost fire skills and cold resistance.

Use Waypoints to Travel Fast

Most Acts have a waypoint for fast travel. Before it can be accessed from Act's main town, you must find and activate the waypoint in the wild.

If you plan to run the Countess multiple times, find the Act One Black Marsh waypoint. Bypassing the first few regions will make repeated trips faster. Fast travel to Black Marsh, kill the Countess in her tower, then exit the game to repeat.

Waypoints are static spots in a region. Don't confuse them with Town Portals, which expire when used or the game is closed.

These tips are only some that you should keep in mind if you are starting out with Diablo 2 Resurrected. You need to know other things, but you will learn them as you continue to play the game.
